Bourke Christian Church

Helping people know the God who loves them, since 1966.

Based in the rural Outback town of Bourke, NSW, Bourke Christian Church is an evangelical community church that helps people know the God who loves them. We aim to reach our community so that people would become followers of Jesus changed by His grace and committed to His mission. Faith, Fellowship, Family, and Following are important values for us.

This church was founded in 1966 by Jack Buster, Owen Boone, John Thurston and others as an independent Baptist Church under the Baptist Union. While we no longer belong to a Baptist denomination, we maintain a loose affiliation with the Baptist Union of NSW.

Our current pastor, Jonathan Hoffman, has been serving since 2010. He is an American born resident of Australia, along with his wife Joanna and four children.
